On Friday, March 10th, McKinley 2nd graders got a special visit from Madeline McIntire and Dove Jeude, Dylan Jeude and Jillian Jeude who gave a presentation about their Paiute culture.

The students were studying a language arts unit about the many ways we learn from cultures. The Jeudes wore their traditional regalia.

Dove sang America the Beautiful in her Paiute language. She taught the students Paiute words and explained the meaning of regalia, songs, dance and the Paiute ways of life.

The students were then treated with Native pow wow dancing by Dove, Madeline, Jillian and Dylan.
