LMUD Planned System Wide Outage

Lassen Municipal Utility District will be switching from Honey Lake Power to Pacific Gas & Electric’s Caribou line beginning at around 2:00a.m. Saturday morning.

Lassen Municipal Utility District has been notified by Pacific Gas & Electric that the Caribou line has been repaired and that LMUD will make the switch from their alternate power source Honey Lake Power to the Caribou line at approximately 2:00a.m. Saturday, September 8th.

According to Theresa Phillips, LMUD Energy Services Manager, this process is expected to take 2 to 3 hours and requires LMUD to interrupt power to all customers. Power is expected to be restored to all LMUD customers by 5:00a.m. Saturday morning.

Please turn off or unplug all unnecessary household appliances this will help stabilize the grid and make the switching process more efficient.

Power updates can be found on LMUD’s website, www.lmud.org, or here on SusanvilleStuff.com. If your power is interrupted at any time please contact the LMUD customer service hotline at 530.257.4174. This line is manned 24 hours a day, however due to high call volume this line may be busy… please be patient.
