LMUD Outage – Janesville, Johnstonville, Standish, Litchfield, Westwood and Eagle Lake
Update 10:20a.m.
PG&E has found the fault in the Caribou line and restored the connection to LMUD. As of right now, power has been restored to all customers. If you are still without power please call LMUD at 257-4174.
Update 8:25a.m.
According to LMUD Public Relations Manager Theresa Phillips the Richmond Road area has now been added to the list of customers who are without power at this time.
“LMUD is currently running on very limited power on the Hat Creek line,” explains Phillips. “We are asking folks to conserve as much as they can, the more they conserve the more people can stay on.”
Phillips said that shutting off electric water heaters is the best way to stabilize the utility’s load.
“If folks could just refrain from any unncessary usage – drying clothes, running the dishwasher etc., it would help immensely!”

A large portion of Lassen Municipal Utility District’s customers lost power last night as winter weather brought an icy mix and high-winds to northeastern California.
At 6:00a.m. the utility posted the following message to social media:
“Mother Nature is at it again! LMUD is experiencing wide-spread outages due to issues with PG&E’s Caribou line. As of now, Janesville, Johnstonville, Standish, Litchfield, Westwood and Eagle Lake are without power.”
“There is a high possibility of rolling blackouts throughout the day. Please conserve as much as possible. We will post more information as it becomes available.”
