The Susanville Police Officer’s Association will be hosting an elegant night of dining and dancing this Saturday, September 20th, at the Elk’s Lodge, with proceeds from the fundraiser benefitting the association’s programs and activities. Today is the last day to get tickets to the big event.
Policemen’s Ball organizer Officer Terra Avilla explains that, “the goal is to have an awesome fun event, where the community can get together, socialize, dance and party for a good purpose.”
“Plus,” Avilla adds, “how many girls do you know around here that don’t want to get dressed up and dance?”
The night includes a cocktail hour with live music, a silent auction then dinner and dancing the night away.
A lot of local businesses have contributed amazing items for the silent auction. Attendees can bid on neat stuff from Anytime Fitness, Rabid Mammoth Tattoo, Baseball lessons by Frank Avilla, Round Table Pizza, Sierra Jewelry, Hair Hunters, Custom Print shop, The Men’s Den and the Elegant Iris. More auction items are being added each day.
“We also have custom artwork being donated by one of our very own talented officers, Robin Henry, as well as photographs,” says Avilla.

You do not have to be in law enforcement to come have good time, everyone is invited. However this is an 18-and-older event.
Doors open at the Elk’s Lodge at 6:00p.m. and seating is limited so Avilla recommends you buy tickets early. You can purchase them from any police officer. Price of admission is $35.
