Mayhem at the Memorial, an all-pro wrestling extravaganza and fundraiser for Lassen Youth Football, will be held this Friday, April 14th, in the Veterans Memorial Hall on Main Street. The evening features world class performers, many of which promoters say have been seen on television or the internet, battling it out.
Doors open at 6:30, first bell is at 7:00 and cost of admission is $10. The VFW Post 2381 will be selling refreshments.
Fans will have time before the show and during intermission for autographs and a ‘meet and greet’ with the wrestlers.
According to show promoters the following wrestlers are scheduled to be a part of Friday’s show. Here are bios provided by John Patterson.
Tag Teams
The Rejects: from ‘the last house on the left’ Joey Smoak and Bison Braddock combined weight of 410 pounds. Joey is a true high flyer, Bison a ground and pounder. This team is based on the quickness of Smoak and the power of Braddock. Always a crowd favorite, managed by ‘Steve the Bobcat’, (a stuffed animal).
FLG, (Frank Lee, Gorgeous) and Dragonheart: Combined weight of 400 pounds. A newly formed tag team. FLG is from Beverly Hills. FLG is a ring veteran in tag team and singles competition. FLG is always in control in the ring, this former APW Nevada State Champion knows what it takes to get the job done. Dragonheart is from the valley of the rising sun. Dragonheart is a former member of the “Northern Legion” Tag Team. He is just getting to know his “inner self”. Watch out for these two.
Singles
Wolfgang Danger: 235 LBS from Anchorage, Alaska. The Alaskan Powerhouse is a 2nd generation wrestler. This guy is truly built. A powerful guy, a powerhouse style, this guy has a very bright future. Watch your belts guys Wolfgang is coming.
J.J. King: 6’5 220lbs From “The Kingdom of Redding” Current Redding Invasion Champion. Managed by Lee Perfetto. This guy is a true bad guy! He will stop at nothing to keep his title. His manager Lee Perfetto is much the same guy. These two will lie cheat and steal their way to the top. Not to take away from JJ Kings gifted wrestling talent. He is truly a great wrestler, but when a guy will also stop at nothing to win it makes him extra menacing.
‘Pitbull’ Isaac Wellman: 175 LBS from Rockport ME. It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. This is Isaac Wellman. It’s always a fight. He thinks size doesn’t matter and this dog will bite you shins off.
‘The Wrecking Ball’ Paul Isadora: 7 foot tall, 327 pounder from Reno, NV. A ring veteran with many years’ experience. He has appeared in countless promotions. He is our resident giant. Kids love him and opponents fear him. Size alone gives this guy an advantage, but his wrestling is top notch. He is very quick for a big man and catches opponents by surprise on many occasions. Get him off his feet, and you have a chance, but very few can. If he gets his giant hands on you it may be lights out and 1-2-3.
‘El Chupacabra’ 170 pounds from the Mexican badlands. This guy has wrestled in many promotions around the USA. A true Vet. His Crazy style is a must see. He is a phenomenal high flyer and the things he does in the ring will astound you. Many promotions have called him Champion, this guy alone is worth the price of admission.
Will Robert: 175 from Redding. Great fundamental wrestler with the heart of a champion. Never say die attitude. Goes at high speed from the opening bell till the 3 count. Fans love Will. Don’t underestimate Will, he is here to compete and win.
TWO MAIN EVENTS
‘The Samoan Werewolf’ Jacob Fatu 250 lbs. Son of the woe’s Tonga Kid. Trained by his uncle WWE Hall of Famer Rakishi Fatu. Cousin of WWE performers Roman Reigns, and the Usos. This is a very powerful man. Trained by the best to beat the best. A great wrestler who could become champion on any given night. He is only here to take what is his!
‘The Big FN Deal’ Karl Frederick: APW Nevada State Champions from Lovelock NV. 225 lbs. A true crowd favorite, at so many promotions around the area. Karl is the perfect mix of high flyer and powerhouse. This guy does it all. Whether it’s chopping you in the chest or coming of the top rope with his frog splash, Karl makes the crowd go nuts. Fast and strong make this guy the champion he is. He has been seen at the WWE training facility on more than one occasion. Won’t be long till we see this guy on TV.
‘Chocolate Papi’ Styker: from Oakland Ca 225lbs A gifted wrestler in all aspects of the game. He can do it all. Too bad he is such a jerk. He doesn’t like Susanville, doesn’t want to come to Susanville. He is only coming to the show so that he can take the belt away from Luster and make some kids cry because their hero lost his belt. If anyone can beat Luster Styker can, he has wins over him in the past.
‘Luster the Legend’ 6’5 250 from Reno, NV, APW Universal Champion – one half of the Reno Scum Tag Team of Impact Wrestling, TNA wrestling seen on Pop, Spike and Fox Sports TV. This giant punk rocker is a ring vet with a truly unique style. He is a powerhouse like no other. Don’t try to match this guy for power, you will lose. His tall Mohawk and patented muttonchops can intimidate opponents even before stepping in the ring. If you do cross into Luster ropes just know a world of hurt is coming your way. Fans put on your seatbelts, the champ is coming to Susanville.
