The Chamber has ordered 2015 Labor Law posters, which feature all required federal and state notices. They are available for sale to Chamber members for $25each poster / or $35 per poster to non-members. California employers and businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Contact the Chamber office at 257-4323 if you would like to have a poster reserved for your business; quantities are limited and will be available on a first-come, first- served bases to those who have not placed a pre-order.
Mark your calendar to ring in the Christmas season with us at the December Chamber mixer that will be hosted by the Susanville branch of Plumas Bank on Thursday, December 4th. You do not need to be a chamber member to attend; everyone is welcomed to stop in to enjoy a fun evening with friends and business associates.
Make plans to bring the whole family out to the 9th Annual “Magical Country Christmas” that will be held on Saturday, December 6, from 5 to 7pm, in Historic Uptown Susanville; the upper portion of Main Street will be closed to thru traffic. The event will welcome the holiday season with dance and musical presentations, Santa’s Grand Entrance Parade, Christmas tree lighting and fireworks. Lassen County Toys for Tots will be on hand throughout the day collecting toys. Area businesses will be open late with special sales and promotions. Food and beverages will be available.
The Chamber board is accepting applications to fill one board vacancy; the 3 year term will begin in January 2015. Chamber members who are interested in helping to promote the business community and Lassen County by serving are encouraged to apply.
