Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Weekly Update

Sunday, December 24th, 2017

Patti Hagata, Executive Director

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce board and staff. The new year brings in a new slate of officers that were elected at the December board meeting. Congratulations to Bill Payer, Tractor Supply manager, who will serve as the board President; Gary Felt, elected Vice President, and Mandy McGarva, CPA, was re-elected to serve as the Treasurer. The Chamber would like to express our thanks to Richard Parker, Integrated Insurance Broker, for his commitment and service as the board president this past year and also for his longtime service as a board member.

The Chamber has received the 2018 Labor Law posters that feature all required federal and state notices on one poster. They are now available for pick-up at the office for all those who preordered a poster. We also have a small quantity of extra posters available for sale on a first-come-first-served basis; they are available to Chamber members for $30.00 or to non-member for $40.00 per poster. Stop by the Chamber office located at 1516 Main Street, Susanville to pick one up for your business. California businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business.

Get your 2018 event dates and information on the Chamber Community Calendar. If your business or organization has a special event planned, be sure to log-on to the chamber website and add the event information to the calendar ( the tap to add an event is located at the top right of each months calendar). This helps you get the word out about your event and ensures that events don’t get planned on top of each other. This is a free service provided to the entire community. For a complete list of events planned in Lassen County log on to www.lassencountychamber.org  and click on event calendar.

If we could have a moment of your time...

In the last 15 years SusanvilleStuff has become Lassen County's most influential media source with an average of 21,000 people visiting and reading stories about our little corner of the world each week.

SusanvilleStuff is our area's only locally owned news and information source and our commitment is to our friends and neighbors, with the goal of creating the best, all-around, most reliable content, while at the same time highlighting what makes Susanville and Lassen County so incredibly unique.

Why We Need Reader Support
Our independent, local coverage takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. While we make most of our money from advertising revenues, these days those can only go so far to support what we do. Every dollar our readers contribute goes towards making SusanvilleStuff a stronger voice in the community with better, more comprehensive content. We increasingly need the help of our readers to support us with either a voluntary subscription or a one-time contribution.

You don't have to subscribe to SusanvilleStuff, but we will be incredibly thankful if you do!
