Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Weekly Update

Many materials in the Chamber Visitors Information Center have been depleted. Chamber members should be sure that the visitor lobby has an adequate supply of your business cards and brochures on hand to promote your business throughout the year. This is a free marketing service that is available to all Chamber members. Have someone visiting the community who needs a Lassen County map? Free area maps and visitor information is available at the chamber office, located at 1516 Main Street, Susanville.

Is your business in compliance? A small quantity of 2017 Labor Law Posters are available for sale. The poster features all required federal and state notices on one poster. California employers are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Stop by the Chamber office to purchase one for your business.

The 2017 Farmer’s Market season is in full swing held each Saturday, thru the month of September, beginning at 8 a.m. Currently being held on North Gay Street in Historic Uptown Susanville until construction is completed on Pancera Plaza.

Upgrade your wood stove or fireplace and you may be eligible for a $1500 rebate. The Lassen County Air Pollution Control District’s Wood Stove Replacement Program assists in replacing operable and older non-certified wood stoves with cleaner, more fuel efficient wood heating devices or other less polluting heating appliances.  Replacements that may qualify for the rebate include: (1) Replacement of non-EPA certified and pre-1990 wood heating appliances or open hearth fireplaces with EPA certified appliances, and (2) Replacement of non-EPA certified and pre-1990 wood heating appliances with propane or natural gas appliance. Applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis and submission of an application does not guarantee funding.
