The Chamber board will meet on Thursday, February 9, 2017 for first the board meeting of the year, from 9am until 12:30pm, at Diamond Mountain Casino in the hotel conference room. Due to the cancellation of the January meeting (due to weather related issues) the board will be having the annual planning session at the February meeting.
The board agenda will include review of previous year activities, setting goals for the coming year, and assigning chairpersons to this year’s activities and events. The board will also welcome new board members Juanita Williams and Phil Fetterman to their first board meeting.
You do not need to be on the board to serve on committees; we encourage and welcome your participation. If you are interested in serving on any of the Chamber coordinated event committees please contact the staff at 257-4323 to be added to the committee list.
The Chamber has the 2017 Labor Law posters which feature all required federal and state notices on one poster. California employers are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. There is a limited quantity of posters available for sale. Stop by the Chamber office, located at 75 North Weatherlow Street, to purchase one for your business.
The Chamber plans to attend the Reno Outdoor Recreation Shows March 17 thru the 19, 2017 to market area businesses and showcase all the Lassen County has to offer in outdoor recreation. We could use help, if you are willing to volunteer to staff the booth and market our area please call the chamber office at 257-4323 to be added to the volunteer list.
One Stop Office, located at 2589 Main Street, Susanville, has generously offered to print and make available “Think Local First” marketing materials that can be used and distributed at your business including posters, stickers and bookmarks. They will have packets with a handful of each item available for anyone who wants to pass them out and help promote the think local first concept in the community.
