Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Weekly Update

Patti Hagata, Executive Director

The Chamber has received the 2017 Labor Law posters which feature all required federal and state notices on one poster. If you pre-ordered a poster they are ready for pickup; stop by, Monday thru Friday, 9am to 4pm. We also have a limited quantity of extra posters available for sale if you did not place an order but need a poster. California employers are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Stop by the Chamber office, 75 North Weatherlow Street, to purchase one for your business.

Let’s work to together to market our area to potential visitors. The Chamber plans to attend the Reno Outdoor Recreation Shows March 17 thru the 19, 2017 to market area businesses and showcase all the Lassen County has to offer in outdoor recreation. We could use help; if you are willing to volunteer to staff the booth and market our area please call the chamber office at 257-4323 to be added to the volunteer list.

One Stop Office, located at 2589 Main Street, Susanville, has generously offered to print and make available “Think Local First” marketing materials that can be used and distributed at your business including posters, stickers and bookmarks. They will have packets with a handful of each item available for anyone who wants to pass them out and help promote the think local first concept in the community. If you need more information contact them at www.YourOneStopOffice.com or call 252-6500.

Historic Uptown Susanville Association is selling bricks to raise funds for improvements to Pancera Plaza. You can still purchase a brick from the “Buy a Brick” program. The custom bricks will be placed on the Plaza planters to complete the project that was started in the 1990’s. A 4”x 8” brick can still be purchased to commemorate a loved one, special event, business or club. Become a part of Historic Uptown Susanville by purchasing a brick.  Forms to purchase a brick can be downloaded from the chamber website, lassencountychamber.org, or for more information contact David Teeter at 257-2392. We hope to have a re-dedication of the Plaza in June, in conjunction with the 25th anniversary celebration of the Main Cruise Car Show.
