Make plans to join us as we welcome the Christmas season and close out the 2016 mixer calendar as Plumas Bank hosts the December Chamber Mixer on, Thursday, December 8, 2016, at their business located at 3000 Riverside Drive, Susanville, from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Food and a no-host bar will be available. Everyone is welcomed to attend and we encourage you to bring a friend. Come join in the celebration and mingle with friends and business associates.
The Chamber board will meet on Thursday, December 15th for the monthly board meeting, beginning at noon, in the conference room at Mt. Lassen Properties, 822 Main Street. The board encourages member attendance and comment; if you would like to address the board please contact the office staff prior to the board meeting so that you can be added to the agenda.
The December board agenda will include nomination and election of 2017 board officers, selection of 2 new board members, as well as routine business items.
The Chamber board is accepting applications to fill two expired board terms; the 3 year terms will begin in January 2017. Chamber members who are interested in helping to promote the business community and Lassen County by serving on the board are encouraged to apply. Stop by the Chamber office for an application or contact the chamber staff, at 257-4323, for more information or to have an application forwarded to you. Applications must be returned by Monday, December 12th. The board will select new board members at the December 15th board meeting.
The Chamber is still accepting pre-orders for 2017 Labor Law posters that feature all the required federal and state notices on one poster. They will be available to Chamber members for $30.00 or/ non-member for $40.00 per poster. California businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Contact the Chamber office at 257-4323 if you would like to have a poster ordered for your business. The 2017 posters should be arriving soon, expected delivery is mid-December.
