All Chamber committees are busy planning for upcoming events; you do not need to be on the board to serve on committees; we encourage your involvement!
If you would like to volunteer to help with any upcoming event please contact us at the Chamber office 257-4323. A summer season full of back-to-back events is being planned.
The 21st Annual Main Street Cruise Classic Car and Motorcycle Show is being planned for Saturday, June 25, 2011, in Historic Uptown Susanville.
The event will see some new additions including an Arts and Crafts Show that will be coordinated by the Lassen County Arts Council, kid’s activities, and street dance, featuring a live band, will be held from 7pm to 10pm on Pancera Plaza.
Food and drink will be available all day throughout the event. If you would like to show off your classic car or motorcycle registration forms can be downloaded from the chamber website at www.lassencountychamber.org or call the office at 257-4323 and one can be forwarded to you.
If you love to golf you won’t want to miss the 4-man scramble golf tournament planned by the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce for Friday, July 15, 2011, at the Diamond Mountain Golf Course.
Mark your calendar for another new event, coordinated by the Chamber, the Diamond Mountain Hot Air Balloon Race, planned for the weekend of August 20 and 21, 2011.
Chairperson, Cathy Morrison, and her committee are busy finalizing plans for this new event. More information will be forthcoming as the committee finalizes details.
Board member, Elizabeth Woodyard, who is relocating out of the area, submitted her resignation from the board of directors. Her resignation leaves an unexpired term to be filled.
The Chamber board is accepting applications to fill the board vacancy. Chamber members who are interested in sharing their time and talent to help promote the business community and Lassen County by serving on the board are encouraged to apply.
Applications are available at the Chamber office, located at 75 North Weatherlow Street. Deadline to return an application is Tuesday, June 7, 2011.
