Lassen County Candidates Finalized for June 5th Primary Election

19 candidates, many unopposed, have been qualified by Lassen County Registrar of Voters Julie Bustamante to be placed on the local ballot for the June 5th, California Statewide Primary. Eleven races will be decided by Susanville and Lassen County voters.

Running unopposed for Superior Court Judge, Department 1 is Tony Mallory.

In the County’s third district Supervisor Jeff Hemphill will run without opposition.

Two City Council seats will be filled in the upcoming elections with voters choosing from three candidates; Armenda Schuster, Brian Moore and Kathie Garnier.

In the 5th District Supervisor’s race there are three candidates; incumbent Tom Hammond will face challengers Lawrence Johnson and Kerri Cobb.

Three candidates are vying for the position of Lassen County Assessor; Carrie Insley, Nick Ceaglio and Edward Fitzhenry.

Diana Wemple is running unopposed for County Auditor.

Julie Bustamante will run without opposition for County Clerk/Recorder.

Three candidates are running for the job of District Attorney; Susan Rios, David Evans and David Williams.

Sheriff Dean Growdon, County Superintendent of Schools Patricia Gunderson and Treasurer/Tax Collector Nancy Cardenas will all retain their positions with no opposition on the ballot.
