Monday – Thursday, June 26-29, 2017
Basketball Camp: Camp Grizz Camp Cougar. Time: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Ages: 2nd – 7th Grade 7th – 12th Grade. 7th Graders can attend either camp based on ability. Cost: $50/per player $75/per player. Location: LCC Gymnasium. All checks should be payable to Lassen College Foundation with camp noted on the check.

Tuesday, June 27
Lassen County Arts Council Summer Art Program. Pottery Rabbit Rattle #2 with Deb Anderson. Students that attended the first pottery class may return to their clay creations fired and ready to be finished with acrylic paint. Students will learn the standards and versatile steps with the application process of painting with acrylic paint and decorate their clay pottery rattle as they see fit.

Lassen Lit Rocks holds free adult reading classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday’s classes are held at the Lassen Library and Thursday’s classes are held at Shaffer School. For more information please call the library at 530-257-7471.

Lassen Family Services Parenting Group 3:00 – 4:00 pm at Lassen Family Services, 1306 Riverside Dr. Parenting Group classes are designed to help reduce chaos and power struggles within families. Knights of Columbus Wednesday Night Bingo. 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., dinner, 6:30 pm early bird bingo, 7:00 p.m., regular bingo games. Lassen County Arts Council Summer Art Program. The Tinkering Lab with James Hall. Students will partake in hands-on STEAM activities along with a variety of activities such as recycled creatures and create 3D designs with 3D printers.

Lassen College and Kinship Education Free Workshop: Behavior Plans and Sexual Awareness Collaboration. Behavioral Health will be discussing behaviors of children who have experienced trauma and will give you tools to walk away with skills of intervention. Public Health will be covering a basic understanding of “Sexual Awareness” and development that your child may be going through. This workshop will be from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. at Lassen College in the Creative Arts building room 209. 29th Annual Paul Bunyan Mountain & Blues Festival free dance. The dance will be from 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. at the visitor’s center 3rd and Ash St. featuring Rickety Bridge.

Saturday, July 1
Come Run, Walk, or Waddle at the Paul Bunyan 5K Run located in Westwood. On-site race registration is at the Westwood Visitor Center on 3rd and Ash St. starting at 7:00 am. The race starts at 8:00 am!! Cost is $10.00, kids 12 and under are FREE (but need to be accompanied by an adult). Proceeds go to the Westwood Community and local youth programs! Come join the fun at the Paul Bunyan Mountain Blues Festival!!!!

Saturday, July 1
29th Annual Paul Bunyan Mountain & Blues Festival. 7:00 – 10:30 am. breakfast at the Westwood Community Center, Fun Run registrations is at 7:00 am., race starts at 8:00 am. The parade starts at 10:30 am. Logging show starts at noon. Crafts, vendors and food booths all open at 11:00 am at the Westwood Park on Greenwood St. Live music by Amy Celeste from 12:00 – 2:00 pm and The Southside Growlers 2:30 – 4:30.
