Lassen Boys Basketball Hosting First State Playoff Since 1988 This Wednesday

Tuesday, March 6th, 2018

For the first time since Kevin Jones, Leo Bennett and the Lassen Basketball Team beat Center High School out of Sacramento in a thrilling triple-overtime game in 1988, the Lassen Grizzlies will host a first round state playoff game.

The Lassen boy’s varsity team is seeded 6th in the CIF State Boys Basketball Championships, Division 5 and will host the first round game Wednesday evening at 7:00.

If they are victorious, they will move on to the second round on Saturday, taking on either Colfax or Colusa.

Lassen’s varsity girls team, who earned the 5th seed, also received a home playoff game, but their opponent chose to forfeit, so instead they will play the winner of the Lowell/KIPP King game Saturday at a location yet to be decided.

Come watch as  LHS Varsity Boys make history! Tickets prices are set by CIF and are as follows:

Ticket Prices:
$9 Adult
$5 Senior Citizen (60+)
$5 Student with ASB Card
$5 K-8 Student with Adult
$10 K-8 Student Unaccompanied
