The folks from Lassen Land and Trails Trust invite you to join them on National Trails Day, Saturday, June 6th, when, along with a National Civilian Community Corps Americorps team, they will be stabilizing the newly acquired Bizz Extension and preparing the historic railroad Depot to serve trail users this season.
Work is scheduled from 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. at the historic railroad depot at 601 Richmond Road. Volunteers will work alongside the Americorps team on projects ranging from weeding to landscaping and trash pick-up to help beautify the trailhead and visitor center for the Bizz Johnson trail.
Organizers ask that volunteers bring work gloves and loppers, rakes or whatever tools you may have.
Come early and grab some goodies from the first Farmers Market of the season, and join the Trust and Americorps team for a barbecue at 1:00p.m. as a thank you for all your hard work!
