Salary: $13.30 – $13.97/hr

The Gaming Administrative Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the Susanville Indian Rancheria Gaming (SIRGC) Office, Surveillance Department and assists in all areas of regulatory compliance, and must be able to maintain utmost confidentiality.


  1. Answers phones and redirects calls to appropriate individuals.
  2. Interacts with the public in a professional manner.
  3. Shall be responsible for taking and transcribing minutes at the SIRGC meetings, and any other minutes as needed. Prepare agendas and all other associated SIRGC documents, and any other meeting documents as needed.
  4. Shall assist in the preparation of reports and research as requested.
  5. Assists with all areas of compliance and regulatory regulations, but not limited to, auditing of slot machines, gaming machine chip verification, facility licensing, occupancy inspections, and shipping notifications of gaming devices and software.
  6. Will perform surveillance duties as needed or scheduled.
  7. Assists with drug testing of Tribal and Casino employees.
  8. May provide logistical support for all meetings and conferences.
  9. Shall assist the Licensing Agent as needed.
  10. Shall assist the Gaming administrator as needed.
  11. Ensures all files are maintained in an organized manner. Compiles and maintains a list of files that are destroyed and are scheduled for destruction.
  12. Maintains and keeps a current library of all Federal, State, and tribal gaming laws and regulations.
  13. Assist in compiling statistics and creating spreadsheets.
  14. Monitors and replenishes office supplies as necessary.
  15. Maintains petty cash.
  16. Must be able to interpret and apply and regulatory documents.
  17. Other duties as assigned.


  1. 21 years of Age.
  2. High School Diploma or GED.
  3. One year office experience or education equivalent in office practices.
  4. Must possess a valid driver’s license with no more than 5 MVR points and insurable as determined by the Susanville Indian Rancheria insurance provider.
  5. Must score a minimum of 70% on pre-employment skills testing in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  6. Must type a minimum of 25 wpm.
  7. Must be willing and able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  8. Must be willing and able to meet deadlines without supervision.
  9. Must meet all requirements to qualify for a Susanville Indian Rancheria Gaming License.
  10. Must be willing to work in a second-hand cigarette smoke environment.
  11. Cannot be related to any Susanville Indian Rancheria Tribal member, casino employee, or their spouses.
