JH Heating Weather: Sierra Storms Target Northeastern California

NWS-Reno---Snow-Potential-4The National Weather Service is tracking another spring storm that is likely to bring precipitation, in the form of both snow and rain, to Northeastern California on Friday. Stormy weather is expected to continue off and on through the weekend with a warming trend forecast for the beginning of next week.

According to Chris Smallcomb from the Reno office of the weather service, this storm is likely to produce more rain and snow than Tuesday’s but will be ‘pretty modest in the spectrum of storms.’

This next storm is expected to impact the region starting Thursday night, peaking in coverage and intensity on Friday, then tapering off by daybreak Saturday just in time for the Chamber of Commerce’s big Home and Garden show at the fairgrounds.
