Jack Tomberlin – 2017

Jack Tomberlin 1930 – 2017

Jack Tomberlin born in November of 1930 to Lewis and Isabel Tomberlin. John M. Tomberlin, one of five children, was always known as Jack.  A graduate of Half Moon Bay High school, he participated in band and choir. Jack loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. He later completed his Associate in Arts degree at San Mateo Junior College in 1953.

Jack followed the path of his father and brothers and became a plumber and a Union Member of Local Union 467. Several years later, he became part owner of Gazos Creek Beach House in Pescadero, CA, where he could be heard singing from the bar.

He was a proud member of the Half Moon Bay Spanish Town Dons Drill Team, with whom he marched in parades in California and across the country. Jack moved to Lassen County after he retired in the early 1990’s settling down in Westwood, CA, where his father had served as Community Services Director and other family members lived.

Jack is survived by his sister Patricia Lawson of Napa, CA and daughters Judi Tomberlin of Modesto, CA, Paula Fantulin of Stockton, CA, Claudia Tomberlin of Jackson, CA, Anita Zavala of Susanville, CA and son Ryan Tomberlin of Washington D.C. as well as his 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Services will be held this summer at the Westwood Cemetery.

Why Pre-plan?

Thinking about your own funeral leaves most people feeling a little uneasy, but more adults are finding that pre-planning a funeral offers great emotional and even financial security for them and their families. With pre-planning, families find comfort in knowing that the funeral reflects what their loved one wanted. It also gives them peace of mind to not have to make important decisions at a stressful time. Click here to visit Walton’s Funeral Home
