Honey Lake TV Update: System Returns to Normal After Restoration of Power

Storm damage which left Honey Lake TV’s Shaffer Mountain broadcast facility unable to provide service to valley residents has been repaired and electricity is once again flowing to the mountain-top.

According to HLTV technician Jim Pecore the generator has been repaired but there is only a limited amount of fuel.

“We are hoping for good weather soon so the road can dry up,” explains Pecore.

Everything on the television provider’s system is operating except for the FOX channels 11.1 (Fox Reno), 11.2 (RTV) and 11.3 (GRIT TV).

“FOX has transmitter problems in Reno and are not available to us for broadcast,” said Pecore. “We have no time frame on their restoring service, but once they start to transmit, we will automatically transmit their signal.”
