Honey Lake Hospice Tree Lighting Saturday at Eagle Lake Village

The tree lighting is all organized and done by Hospice volunteers. This year it will take place at 6:30 pm at Eagle Lake Village on November 22nd

The end of life is not something any of us often think about until we are faced with it. Having the support and care of a special person to guide you through the process is a service that Honey Lake Hospice provides to families in Lassen County every day of the year.

Hospice is a program of flexible services that provides compassionate care wherever a terminally ill patient chooses to live, as opposed to passing away in a hospital facility.

Annual Light Up a Life Tree Lighting Ceremony

This heartwarming event takes placeĀ at Eagle Lake VillageĀ and includes many special features followed by an indoor reception with refreshments.

Those wishing to honor loved ones may purchase a ‘light’ and have their name inscribed on a dove and placed on our hospice tree. ‘Lights’ may be purchased at Margie’s Book Nook, Plumas Bank or from any Honey Lake Hospice volunteer.

The group holds a vigil at the tree lighting each year, reading names. Many gather to gain support and come together during what can be a difficult time.

The cost is $10 per ‘light’ or $100Ā for aĀ perpetual ‘light.’

The tree lighting ceremonyĀ will begin atĀ 6:30p.m., this Saturday, November 22nd at Eagle Lake Village,Ā 2001 Paul Bunyan Road.

It will be chilly outside so remember to dress warmly.Ā Call Honey Lake Hospice for more information at 530-257-3137.
