Highway Patrol’s 140 Squad Club Hosting Sober Grad Golf Tournament

chpsobergradThe 140 Squad Club will be hosting their 18th Annual Sober Grad Golf Tournament on June 12th at the premiere Bailey Creek Golf Course in Lake Almanor.

Registration is currently open for teams of four. The cost is $110 per player which includes 18 holes of golf, shared cart, tri-tip dinner and a t-shirt. The tournament is limited to 140 players so make your reservations soon.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the longest drive and closest to the pin.

The 140 Squad Club relies greatly on local businesses and community members from both Lassen and Plumas counties to promote this event by sponsoring tees and providing raffle prizes.

Sponsorships are also available at $50.00. A sign will be placed on the golf course with the name of the sponsor or business for all participants to see.

This event has helped to raise a substantial amount of funds for both Lassen and Plumas County Sober Grad Events. Last year alone, Lassen County and Chester High Schools received over $6,000. This money was used to provide safe and sober events for graduating seniors.

For more information or to register a team please contact Kristen Del Carlo at 530.257.2191 or at the Susanville Highway Patrol office at 472-400 Diamond Crest Rd.

Golf tournament organizer Kristen Del Carlo explains that the sober grad events and the golf tournament fundraiser depend on local businesses to help promote this very worthwhile event. Sponsorships are offered at $50 and $125. For the $50 sponsorships a professionally constructed sign will be placed on the golf course with the name of your business for all the participants to see. $125 sponsors will have an individual pin flag placed on the green. The pin flag sponsorships are limited to the first 18 sponsors.

One hundred percent of proceeds generated from sponsorships go directly to Plumas and Lassen County Sober Grad events.

The 140 Squad Club is a non-profit which operates on limited funds and any assistance given them is always appreciated.

Deadline to submit paperwork for a sponsorship is Thursday, April 30th.
