It’s official! SusanvilleStuff is now a teenager!
Wednesday, September 21st, marks SusanvilleStuff’s 13th year as the internet home of all things Susanville – more than a dozen years of fun event galleries, local news and stories about what we feel is important to our friends and neighbors here in Lassen County.
13 years ago when we began our little endeavor the world had never heard of social media. It would still be four months before the creation of Facebook and iPhones wouldn’t be around for another four years! At first it took a lot of explaining for people to understand what we were trying to do here. Now, with thousands of readers visiting each day, it seems more surprising when we meet someone who hasn’t heard of SusanvilleStuff.
During the last year we grew at an exponential rate, at peak times, during big news events, reaching more than 150,000 people in a week through our flagship SusanvilleStuff website, our Daily WebXtras, Facebook and Twitter. On August 29th we hit a new milestone with 7,000 likes on Facebook! We have been truly blessed with another busy and productive year.
We are very proud of what we have accomplished in the last thirteen years and there is no way we could have come this far without all of you helping and cheering us on. Thanks to all of you who find time in your day to stop by to visit us at SusanvilleStuff and our family of websites.
