Lassen Municipal Utility District is joining other utilities around the nation to celebrate National Lineman Appreciation Day on Friday. The day is meant to recognize the efforts of linemen in keeping the power on and protecting public safety across the country.

“LMUD is proud of the work our lineman do, from routine line maintenance to answering outage and trouble calls, ” said Energy Services Manager Theresa Phillips, “lineman are at the ready to serve our community any time, day or night.”

“This is the best job in the world,” says Adam Hull, one of eleven LMUD journeyman linemen. “The response from customers, you know, when we’re out there in a snow storm, or the middle of the night getting the power back on, it’s just great. Their appreciation for what we do is amazing. That’s why I love this job!”

So thank a lineman for keeping the power flowing to our community!
