Constance Ann Boysen (Connie)

Connie passed away unexpectedly at the age of 68. Connie was born in Madison South Dakota on November 1, 1948, to Esther and Wayne Bakke. She grew up in West Covina, California and graduated in 1967. She lived in Groveland, CA for many years. While in Groveland, she touched many hearts and young lives while working at the Groveland Youth Center. Connie moved to Susanville, CA in 2011.

Connie (Doxielady) was a lover of animals, especially her dachshunds. Her most recent dogs, Heidi and Billy, were her constant companions. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a thoughtful, caring person with a beautiful heart. She was generous, kind, and warm. We will miss her dearly.

She is survived by daughter Brigitte and husband Mark Foster and grandsons Sheldon and Sawyer of Taylorsville, CA; daughter Wendy Phillips and granddaughters Heather and Haylee of Sonora, CA; brother Tom Bakke, wife Linda Brekken and grandson Alex of Sonoma, CA; and stepmother Laura Bakke of Ontario, CA.

A memorial will be held in Groveland at a date and time to be announced.

Why Pre-plan?

Thinking about your own funeral leaves most people feeling a little uneasy, but more adults are finding that pre-planning a funeral offers great emotional and even financial security for them and their families. With pre-planning, families find comfort in knowing that the funeral reflects what their loved one wanted. It also gives them peace of mind to not have to make important decisions at a stressful time. Click here to visit Walton’s Funeral Home

If we could have a moment of your time...

In the last 15 years SusanvilleStuff has become Lassen County's most influential media source with an average of 21,000 people visiting and reading stories about our little corner of the world each week.

SusanvilleStuff is our area's only locally owned news and information source and our commitment is to our friends and neighbors, with the goal of creating the best, all-around, most reliable content, while at the same time highlighting what makes Susanville and Lassen County so incredibly unique.

Why We Need Reader Support
Our independent, local coverage takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. While we make most of our money from advertising revenues, these days those can only go so far to support what we do. Every dollar our readers contribute goes towards making SusanvilleStuff a stronger voice in the community with better, more comprehensive content. We increasingly need the help of our readers to support us with either a voluntary subscription or a one-time contribution.

You don't have to subscribe to SusanvilleStuff, but we will be incredibly thankful if you do!
