CHP Holding Workshop for Commercial Fleet Operators and Owners

chpFor those who use a commercial vehicle with a GVWR over 10,000lbs for farming, ranching or affiliated business, the California Highway Patrol will be offering a free workshop called “Basic Inspection of Terminals – How it Affects You” on Saturday, May 7th.

CHP staff will be on hand to answer questions regarding compliance with the updated BIT program. These changes, according to the Highway Patrol will likely affect existing fleets and those enrolled with BIT in the past.

The CHP’s Northern Division of the Motor Carrier Safety Unit in Redding will provide a review of the recent changes to the BIT program.

The free workshop will be held from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. on May 7th, at the Veterans Memorial Hall on Main Street.

Lunch will be available and includes a hotdog, hamburger, chili, chips and a drink for $5.00.
