Mark your calendar to attend the Thursday, October 6, 2011, Chamber Mixer that will be co-hosted by Susanville Aviation and the Susanville Chapter of Experimental Aircraft Association. The mixer will be held at the Susanville Airport, located at 471-920 Johnstonville Road, from 5:30 to 7:30pm. You do not need to be a Chamber member to attend, everyone is welcomed and we encourage you to bring a friend.
Alliance for Workforce Development, in partnership with the Lassen County Economic Development Micro-Enterprise Grant Program, is offering entrepreneurs and small businesses located in Lassen County, with five or fewer employees, the opportunity to prosper from customized free training services.
The technical assistance is available specific to your business needs. One-on-one assistance and group workshops will be offered. To participate, Lassen County businesses need to have 5 or fewer employees (including owners) and meet income eligibility requirements.

The Lassen Historical Society will celebrate the 100 yr. Anniversary of California Women’s Suffrage with a march and presentation planned for Saturday, October 8, 2011.
The march will begin at 10am from the Lassen County Historical Museum, located on Weatherlow Street, and will travel to the courthouse steps, on South Lassen Street. The celebration will continue at the courthouse with presentations and a program in celebration of the anniversary beginning at 10:30am.
