The Lassen County Arts Council invited some of our local veterans to a special cork and canvas last week in preparation for a gallery exhibition of artwork, photography and memorabilia in the council’s gallery on Cottage Street.
Along with the cork and canvas the group also offered a book publishing and memoir writing seminar with local veteran, author and publisher Bob Owens.
During the workshop, which was free to veterans, Owens walked would-be authors through what they can expect from the publishing process.
The special exhibition can be seen at the gallery during the month of November.
