Almanor Ranger District Still Looking for a Few Good Hosts

forestserviceupdateThe Almanor Ranger District of the Lassen National Forest still needs volunteer campground hosts for the 2015 camping season.

Hosts are being sought specifically for Almanor South and Almanor North campgrounds.  A potential need remains for hosts at Domingo Springs, Potato Patch, and Cherry Hill campgrounds.

Host duties may include welcoming visitors, posting reservations at campsites, sharing news and information, and light campground maintenance.  Hosts must have a self-contained RV or trailer and a personal vehicle for transportation.  Free propane and a campsite are provided.

The recreation season begins in mid-to-late May and extends through early to mid-September, as conditions allow.

For more information and an application, please contact Soai Talbot or Megan Mullowney on the Almanor Ranger District at 530-258-2141.
