Branch Banks Plan Wireless

Roy D. Mayes, president of the Lassen County Industrial Bank, and George Taylor, manager of the Fall River Mills branch of the concern, both being versed in wireless telegraphy, have decided to install apparatus for wireless communication between the two places.

Mayes has applied for a federal license and has ordered equipment capable of transmitting messages 2500 miles and having a radius of 6000 miles.
|
|
|
|
It is planned to keep the banks of Susanville, Fall River Mills and Bieber in close touch with each other by this method.
Mayes has long been interested in wireless telegraphy as an amateur and formerly owned a private plant at Dixon. Taylor was formerly instructor in wireless communication for the army.
