Here’s to a colorful and safe New Year!

L
assen Municipal Utility District has announced the winning entries for their 5th annual Student Art Calendar.  Winning students were honored at a ceremony December 4th, and the calendar, whose theme is “Stay Clear and Stay Alive!” will soon be back from the printers and ready to decorate your walls.

The LMUD board room was packed with family and friends as the winners were announced.  The winning students received an award certificate and a twenty five dollar gift card, presented by LMUD’s board President Bud Bowden and General Manager Ray Luhring.

Thirteen boys and girls, ranging in age from kindergarten through sixth grade, were recognized and honored for their outstanding achievement in art, as well as, their commitment to LMUD’s safety slogan.

LMUD received over 300 entries submitted by students from every elementary school in their service territory. Each year the selection committee has the increasingly difficult task of choosing only thirteen winners from all of the absolutely incredible artwork submitted.

A limited number of calendars will be available at the LMUD business office located at 65 South Roop Street. The calendar will also be available on the LMUD web site as a downloadable file that can be printed directly from your computer.
