Memorandum Filed In Title Dispute
April 30th, 1950
According to a memorandum of opinion by Superior Judge J. O. Moncur, the CampFire Girls' cabin at the head of Court St. stands on property belonging to the people of the city of Susanville.
The superior court judge of Lassen county holds title to the property, Judge Moncur ruled, as trustee for the city.

The judge also ruled that Dr. C. I. Burnett and his wife have acquired title to the north half of the street by adverse possession and that Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Strom have acquired title to the south half of the street in the same fashion.
The memorandum of opinion was filed at the county clerk's office Monday. The case was brought to court last November by Mr. and Mrs Strom, who claimed title to the whole of Court St., including this property on which the Camp Fire Girls' cabin stands.
The Strom’s had already posted no trespassing signs near the cabin.
