This is a free service provided to the entire community. For a complete list of events planned in Lassen County log on to www.lassencountychamber.org and click on event calendar located on the left hand side of the home page.
If you are a Chamber member, be sure that the Chamber’s Visitor’s information area has an adequate supply of your business cards and brochures on hand to promote your business throughout the year.

The request received by the Chamber staff usually begins to increase this time of year and the tourist season is just around the corner. SUSANVILLE EDITOR AND OFFICIAL "MIX"
March 17th, 1912
County Clerk George B Bassett assaulted Fred C Sefton editor of the Lassen Mail when the latter was examining the records of the Board of Supervisors in Bassett’s office.
Sefton was knocked down twice and further trouble is feared.
Sefton has, through his paper, been attacking Bassett, claiming that the latter mutilated public records and discriminated against Sefton in giving out public printing. Bassett claims the changes made in the records of the Supervisor’s proceedings were at the request of, and were approved by the Supervisors, and that Sefton has received more than his share of county printing.
Sefton, says Bassett, is the correspondent for an outside paper, which vilified Lassen county officials and others. He has advocated the recall of Bassett.
