Lassen Planning To Build Homes
February 4th, 1946
Two new housing projects are being planned here now, which next spring may help to relieve the shortage in Susanville. Both depend on the availability of building material, especially lumber and plumbing equipment.
C.R. Wright is having the four corner lots at Knoch Avenue and Hall Street surveyed this week, and if weather permits will start foundation work soon. He plans to erect three houses on the four lots.
George Wood formerly of Termo, is making tentative plans for a one-story apartment house on his Nevada Street property, across the street from the Baptist church. He is now endeavoring to get his material together, and if he succeeds, said he will start construction in March or April. The building is designed for eight two-room apartments.
