Lassen Ale Works Home Brew Contest Brings 21 Entries; Osborne Takes First Place

It was a packed house on October 30th as Lassen Ale Works hosted their first annual Home Brewing Competition producing beers that even seasoned brewmaster, Eric Jefferts stated was some of the “best home brew he had ever tasted.”

As the judges carefully tasted  21 different brews and then deliberated, points were tallied and the room was filled with anticipation as the winners were announced.

KohBoom! Brewery’s (Rob Kohrt and Greg Boomer)  Supreme Stout Lager and Jon Mossinger for his Honey Raspberry Lager tied  for a third place.

2nd place went to KohBoom Brewery for their Full Brazilian Amber Lager.

The winner was Dustin Osborn for his Moon Shadow Black IPA. Dustin will be brewing a batch of it in the nifty state-of-the-art Lassen Ale Works brewing system and you’ll soon be able to taste it for yourselves.
