This week is the ever-anticipated homecoming week for Lassen High Shool. Each day has new surprises in store for students, and lots of anticipated excitement.
This year’s theme is “Will Ferrell” and throughout the week students will be participating in activities and dressing up in costumes that represent the movie star’s films.
Homecoming kicked off today. Students will be dressing up in anything that relates to the movie ‘Elf,’ from pointy green hats, to yellow leggings.
During their lunch hour there will be a spaghetti and syrup eating contest held for any students daring enough to participate.
On Wednesday the spirit day is based on Will Ferrell’s movie Semi-Pro. The campus will be filled with old school basketball uniforms and afros. At noon Lassen ASB will be holding a trident throwing contest.
Later, on Wednesday night, you can head on down to the football field and watch an entertaining PowderPuff football game. With this year’s group of female talent, it’s sure to be a game you don’t want to miss.
Thursday will be the final Will Ferrell-based spirit day. Students will be dressed for success, with their mustaches as a representation of anchorman. If you head over to the big gym during lunch, you can enjoy students as they show their skills and participate in a rap battle.
For Friday, the final day of home coming week, students will show their pride with purple and gold as they support the football team. The grizzlies will be facing Anderson and between the Jr. Varsity game and Varsity game all members of the community can come down and enjoy the floats the students worked so hard to create.
