Susanville Police Department Identifies Wal-Mart Peeper

The Susanville Police Department released new details today regarding the suspect who allegedly entered a Wal-Mart restroom Tuesday evening and ‘peeped’ under the privacy divider into an occupied stall.     

Susanville Police Chief Tom Downing, in a press release this morning, said that the department, “was able to identify and interview the suspect in this case.”

According to Chief Downing the suspect is a citizen of Mexico who was in Susanville on a temporary guest worker visa.

Downing explained that upon completion of this investigation the suspect’s employer has agreed to terminate his employment and have him returned to Mexico.

The case will be forwarded to the District Attorney for review.

Chief Downing also thanked the Susanville Wal-Mart store and the staff at Sierra Cascade Nursery for their assistance in helping resolve the case quickly.
