JH Heating Weather Alert – Red Flag Warning

Good afternoon everybody, here is a quick update on weather conditions, including a Red Flag Warning that has been posted for our area.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red flag warning in effect from 8:00p.m. this evening to 8:00a.m. Thursday for thunderstorms and strong outflow winds…

Areas affected by the warning include Surprise Valley… western Lassen… eastern Plumas… eastern Sierra… eastern Nevada counties in California… and northern Washoe County in Nevada…

• Thunderstorms… isolated to scattered with little to no rainfall.
• Outflow winds… gusty and erratic winds up to 45 mph.
• Impacts… lightning may create new fire starts and combine with strong outflow winds to produce rapid fire growth.

Precautionary/preparedness actions…

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions will occur. Continue to check weather.Gov/Reno for updates.
