WebAlert: Vegetation Fire Burning in Southeast Susanville – LMUD Update

Lassen Municipal Utility District’s Energy Services Specialist Theresa Phillips confirms that at this time power has been restored to customers who experienced a fire related outage this afternoon.

Emergency fire crews from multiple agencies are responding to a brush fire just south of the Susan River near the old Sierra Pacific Mill property in southeast Susanville.

The fire is burning in rugged vegetation along the river and smoke is affecting the area around River Street.  

Susanville Police Department and the California Highway Patrol are advising people to avoid the area and some streets surrounding the fire have been shut down.
