Nakanishi Succumbs to Rafting Injury: Family’s Attorney Confirms

Sacramento Attorney Brian Taylor, speaking on behalf of the Nakanishi family, has announced the death of 42 year-old Lassen County Judge candidate and father of three, Jon Nakanishi.

At 8:40 Thursday evening Taylor issued a brief statement to SusanvilleStuff which read, “Jon Alan Nakanishi, age 42, of Susanville, California, died on June 21, 2012, at Tahoe Forest Hospital in Truckee California.”

“His death was a result of injuries sustained during a rafting trip on the Truckee River. Jon’s family would like to sincerely thank Tahoe Forest hospital, their physicians, and staff for the excellent and compassionate care they provided.”

The Nursing Supervisor on duty at Tahoe Forest this evening would not confirm Nakanishi’s death. We will have more details here on SusanvilleStuff as soon as we have them.
