Local Roping Brings 40 Teams to Lassen Fairgrounds

Local ropers kicked up dust and swung their ropes during Bud Price’s first annual ACTRA jack pot roping at the Lassen County Fair Grounds last night.

There were 40 teams in the first pot and 26 in the second.

Results:

1st Pot

1st go round:  Thad   Waltman & Rob Pyle – 7.66

Average:

• 1st:  Thad Waltman & Bud Blosser  -    36.42 on 3 head
• 2nd:  Ken Wemple & Bud Blosser – 49.22 on 3   head
• 3rd:  Haley Pennington & Dustin Bowland -   11.56 on 2 head

2nd Pot

1st go   round:  Haley Pennington & Cash   Wemple – 7.65

Average:

• 1st:  Kattie Wemple & Cody Walsh – 24.27 on 3   head
• 2nd:  Haley Pennington & Cash Wemple – 27.34   on 3 head
