Council Appoints Hancock New City Administrator

The Susanville City Council, meeting June 20th in closed session, has appointed Jared Hancock to the position of City Administrator for the City of Susanville.

Mr. Hancock’s background, according to a release issued by the City of Susanville,  includes an emphasis on economic development, land use planning, business administration and finance.

The release continues, “He joined the City of Susanville in 2010 and his leadership and professionalism have earned the respect and support of his colleagues and peers in the business community. His positive attitude and initiative have been evidenced by his involvement with many community groups and we look forward to building on that momentum and moving the City forward in a positive direction.”

“Mr. Hancock’s leadership, professionalism, and dedication to his community have been an asset to the City and we look forward to honoring his appointment at a public ceremony when he will be officially sworn in.”

The date and time for the official swearing-in ceremony will be announced later.
