Lassen Baseball Beats Oroville in Nail Biter

Lassen Varsity Baseball beat Oroville 1 to 0 in nine innings. My dad told me I use the term ‘nail biter’ too often, but this was definitely one of those games. 

Jared Bertotti bats for Lassen in Friday's game against Oroville

Jared Bertotti hit a double in the bottom of the 9th inning, followed by a walk for Joey Beck, then Adam Miranda hit the ball and made it safe to first scoring Bertotti for the only run of the game.

Colby Chavez bats for Lassen

Daniel Perry, Colby Chavez, Jared Bertotti and Adam Miranda had the only hits of the game. Kyle Winn pitched all nine innings with 5 strike outs, 1 walk and giving up only 1 hit.

The grizzlies host Carson City on Saturday and then have a double-header against Paradise at home next Tuesday.
