Patti Hagata, Executive Director
Mark your calendar to attend the next Chamber Mixer that will be hosted by High Sierra Collision and Towing, Thursday, April 19, 2012, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
As is the case at all mixers, you do not need to be a Chamber member to attend everyone is welcomed.
Mixers are a great way to network, as well as support local businesses, while seeing what they have to offer in a relaxed setting.
The Chamber would like to welcome the following new members; UPS Store (under new ownership), Lassen Ale Works at the Pioneer, Diamond Saw Shop, Mallery Memorial Maintenance, Country Sunshine Tanning and Budget Car Rental. The Chamber reminds you to give local businesses the first chance to earn your business.
The 2012 Spring Home, Garden, and Outdoor Recreation Show is fast approaching. The event is planned for Saturday, April 28th, from 10am to 4pm, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. Booth spaces are filling up quickly.
If you would like to participate at this year’s event contact the Chamber office at 257-4323. 10’x10’ booth spaces are available at $40/chamber members or $55/non-Chamber member.
The Chamber will be running the 2012 Fair’s beer concession. The committee charged with this huge undertaking is being headed up by Theresa Phillips, Jeff Trump, Randy Rippee, and Dorine Blankenship.
The largest task that the committee will have is getting enough volunteers to man the concession for the five days of fair. Beer Garden hours are 11am to 10pm daily. This will be a major fundraising event for the Chamber and the amount of volunteer hours it will take to successfully man the beer gardens is huge.
The Chamber is reaching out to the community and the chamber membership, whether you can volunteer for a few hours, a day or various times throughout the week, we need your help.
If you are willing to volunteer contact the Chamber office, 257-4323 or sign-up to volunteer at any Chamber mixer. The Fair is the third week of July, the 18th through the 22nd.
